you can use air bags on your stock beams, but have the beams bent for positive camber. most old alignment shop that has been around for more than 30yrs. should still have the tools to do this. (a shop here in town charges $80 for this). set the ride hight that you want w/ the bags then have the beams bent for correct camber. record the air pressure so you can return to it for normal driving. aim has the kits you want. if you do this you won't hit the tires on the spring perch when aired down. you will not lay frame unless you get dropped beams though.
I have been running the AIM Industries drop I beams for a couple of years now. With the Drop Shackles & Hangers in the rear
I went with these because of so many rumours/stories on the internets about Dream Beams twisting & whatnot. (better safe than sorry)
I like them alot but the tie rod relocator.....while it has never given me ANY problems......is a little strange looking & might scare some people.
We mounted them as securely as possible according to the instructions & I check them periodically.
If you you need clearance measurements let me know specifics & I can check my front end for you.
You will have to remove a little metal from the I beam itself to get a proper turning radius as well.
Your only issue will most likely be camber with the bags down.
There are pics in my gallery.........
Me personally? If I was going to bag my truck I would do a volare,Ifs, etc.
just my .02 cents
Good Luck & have fun!
