How the hell did you do that?!?

I'd say it's broken and you should look into a new TC.

seems to me as if there was hell of a torsional load on the case, and it eventually cracked, more cracked, and it gave way. what were you doing when this happened? does it still run or is it not connected to the engine block at all?

its a salvage truck i'm thinkin of buying, the transfer case is also obliterated, and the front yoke on the diff. sheared off, and the front drive shaft is missing.. evidently the left front wheel took a hit and pushed the front axle back on the leaf spring

With a little(a lot) of JB weld you might be able to peice it back together like a jigsaw puzzle

What does the rest of the truck look like? Price vs. what else needs to be fixed? That hard of a hit, I'd wonder if the frame is straight and what else on the truck has shifted.

the frame looks straight but the cab has shifted a little to the rear i believe. Body wise a new hood fender and left front fender would make it look new.

Where's the paint on the converter? Appears that it overheated, balooned and kicked the crap out of your bellhousing.

Opinions? Whats the chances the torque converter balloned and ruined the thrust bearing in the engine too?
