Yea, Like I said it seems like the valve I got is all made of plastic, I know it gets pretty darn hot in the area where the valve is located....may be thats why the Motorcraft part has a METAL covered diaphram.......

I asked the seller if he would do a group buy at a special price, he said to shoot him a quanity and he's shoot us a price.

I think the valves for Excursions might be slightly different because I understand that some have rear heaters...thinking may be they use a different valve for those that do and those that don't.......

What do you all think about a group buy on these as summer approaches??

I'm interested if a Group Buy was to be set up.

I need to do this mod still. I am in if the prices are decent. Otherwise, I will simply put a couple of valves in there.

My ac works fine, here in South Texas. Are we doing this mod to mask other problems?

Just curious. noticed some of the posters were not from hot climates

Doug, it simply keeps the hot coolant from going through the heater core and allows the A/C to get even colder, since it isn't trying to cool the coolant as well. That is all it is supposed to help with, if I am not mistaken.

Here is a pick of what I did back when I did my valve over a year ago. I have had no problems at all with it, the shield points towards the exhaust.

Anyone know where to get the "T" to put on the vacuum line behind the dash? The only T's that I can find around here are the old style ones that go on the large rubber lines. I need to find one online.

It's getting HOT here in Oklahoma so I thought I look in to this for my 02 excursion. I've read on here that is wont work for Excursions and that it will buy more complicated with the rear a/c set up.

So is there anything specific with excursions?

Excursions came with this valve from the factory, so it already has one and can't be improved-upon.

It's us F-Series drivers that see improvement by adding Excursion parts.

Does anyone know the Ford part number for the appropriate Excursion valve that we can use in our trucks?

Thanks,
Drake
