what size pipe??

i have a 98 f150 with a 4.2 in it.... i wanted to get true duals. here in south carolina there are no emissions (that i know of) so the cats are comming off. i was thinking about gettin the flowmaster original 40 series.. what size pipe would be best for this setup? thanks

id say if duals 2 inch, defintly not bigger then 2 1/4 anyways

me and my friend had this arguement before. Do larger diameter pipes give a deeper rumble? Do smaller diameter pipes give the cackle noise?

Larger pipe after the muffler(s) will give a deeper tone.

Right...smaller gives the cackle noise as well. Middle gives...well...middle of both.

2.25" would be a good size, nice and even.
