Welcome Iso, what size tires and steering wheel do you have? I have 235's, and the stock steering wheel, and she's a palmer, as long as she is moving just a bit. I had a 66 with 31 10.50's on at one time, and you couldn't turn that to save your life if it was sitting still, much less moving.
Hey iso, I don't want to seem like I'm talking you out of the power steering, but I never had any problems with the manual steering on my 66. The only time I ever wanted power steering was when I was at a dead stop. Also, the manual steering will make you stronger!!
As for the power brakes, find a 65-72 f100, grab the power booster, the proportioning valve, the tubing (as a template to bend your own), and the pedal assembly. Swap out all your stuff, bleed the lines and you are good to go!
Comments are not for purpose of argument, it's exactly what I said for the 36 plus years driving 65 F100. Made upgrade few years back, and in my case, found once reached senior citizen status it does not take much to appreciate small conveniences. Still have the 4 speed, arthritis is'nt to point ready to swap for auto yet. Have another 65 without the upgrade, and in my opinion there is no comparison, especially when it come to towing. Thought would add my $.02.

haha! two and a half years later and it's still sittin in my shop with no upgrades! Got stronger and can drive it just fine without it when I get the chance to drive it. can't really afford insurance on it right now, currently unemployed, so I can only drive it around the block extra super carefully. haha
