fuel regulator preasure mod results

I just got the fuel regulator kit from di inovations. How has this kit been working. I do not have a pressure gauge so I will not be able to check the pressures. So I am going to put the largest shim in an run it for a while. I am mainly looking for better economy. Any bad results?

I notices a smoother running engine when I increased fuel pressure. Economy should go up too, but I don't have the numbers to veryify it. The only down side is extra wear on the pump from the increased pressure. You might want to get a fuel gauge though. I doubt that largest shim would put your pressures too high, but you never know. I would try to keep it around 65 psi on a stock fuel system, but you could go up to 70-75 and probably be ok.

The next to largest shim put my pressure at about 63 psi. I have not tried the largest one yet. Will probably put it over 70 psi. Did pick up about .5- 1 mpg on the open road at 70 mph w/ A/C on 150 mile trip. Gauge will work fine if you can adapt to the threads on the filter housing or cylinder head.
