Question about 300 block?????

Are the only differences between the pre-fuel injected and fuel injected 300 blocks the fuel pump opening in the earlier block and the knock sensor in the later one? Can a knock sensor opening be added to the earlier block to make it useable as a fuel injected one?

There wouldn't be any other differences that would make one block unusable for the other applicaton. Knock sensors typically screw into a hole that was there before, but just had a water jacket plug in it. There might also be a clutch linkage bracket on a carbed block, but I don't think it would be in the way.

Also oil dipstick location changed a few times. My 82 F100 has it in the oil pan where as my 95 has it go through the block. Some also have the hole foward of the distributor.
