Abandoned '70-'72 Ranchero GT
There is an abandoned Ranchero GT at my appartment complex. After looking on the web,I think it is a '70,'71 or '72. The body is straight and it has
the "scooped" (excuse my ignorance, I am normally on the Light Duty Truck page), but it needs paint and I am sure engine and interior work. It has the tow tag on it and is due to go anyday. What is the vehicles value and potential collector value? I know this is always hard to do without pictures or seeing/driving the vehicle, so ballpark is great. I just want to know if it is worth my time pursuing.

J.N. If you like the truck, go to the management and see if they will let you be the tow co. Take the car off the property and start a claim on it from your state Dot. You get the title usually in 90 days for a small fee. If some other co. gets it, they will have to go through the same process and then will sell the car to you for the hook and storage fees plus profit. You may have to rent a big storage room, or other place and keep it until the time expires. The property management doesn't care, they have policies about cars with outdated tags and stickers etc.
The value is around $300.00. Those are not as popular as the Elcomeno's. Ford had some ugly models then.
Good luck,
John
