adding keyless entry

Hey guys, Got a '99 7.3 and looking to add keyless entry.Is this possible and whats the best,,,where's the best to get it...

easiest way is to get an alarm installed

dont know about yours, but the local stealership had a thing going a while back (dont know if it's still) where they would install the keyless entry on your door for $129 i believe.

Mine were purchased direct from a stealership, activation installation and all....
you might check your local Ford place and see what they'll charge.

I checked at the local dealer and it was around $160.00, installation extra.

You can get keyless entry kit with remotes for less than $50 and install it yourself. They have ones with starter kill built in, also. Easy to wire up. Wiring codes are provided for your vehicle. I am looking into one to replace dealer installed unit on my wife's Explorer. A single replacement remote was more than the cost of the whole system. Since there was an alarm already installed, I will be able to easily tie into the wiring for the door locks with the new system. I have helped install alarms before and it is not that difficult with the wiring codes available. If you PM me, I can give more info if you like.

Bully dog technology has one that would fit.....have looked into it in the past just never followed through with it.
