It is taking off the stock airbox and filter and replacing it with a napa 6637 filter. All you need is the filter, a 4' peice of 4' exhaust and two hose clamps. It gives better flow and more turbo whistle without all the money for a new AIS. Look in the sticky thread for common mods its in there and most of these guys have pictures in there galleries of it. I have all the parts just waiting for a break in all the camping in fishing to do mine.

Here is a forum link which show you a pic of the filter mod.. and other info you might find helpful.. Would suggest doing the CCV (crankcase vent) mod at the same time..

i did not need any thing but two hose clamps. i took the boot and heated it up, slid it over the filter neck, and took apart two smaller hose clamps and made one big one to go around it, as the stock one did not make it by a hair. since then i have replaced the CCV inlet tube with a piece of 4".

Here ius a shot of mine. Sounds great and filters even better. I do get some "DRONE" if towing my 28 ft boat, which is basically sound thru the filter you can hear. I am pleased with the set up other than that but Its not to bad.
