Nope, spend the rest of the evening modifying my fuel lines and testing the new transmission in the truck..I will have the bio preheating tomarrow at 4pm and add my chemicals at 6 and pump. Then at 7 I will transfer through the cyclone to the holding tank and see what she will do. Nothing is what it seems huh?

What are you doing to mod your fuel lines?

 

Well I was attempting to do the hutch mod, but I only just replaced steel lines with rubber and installed a pre pump filter and switching valve for my aux tank. I have to go back in and finish the hutch mod and install a pickup pump later.

aaargg. didnt get anywhere near 150...leaving the heater on tonight and try in the morning.

 

Stupid thermostat broke. Wont stay on so I will be rewiring it. Not today again.

 

Anybody tried using gas heat?

I was looking at the stand and heater for the fish cooker and was thinking it wouldn't be difficult to build a little bigger stand for a water heater tank.

I guess it would be too time intensive since there wouldn't be any way to regulate the heat other than standing there with a thermometer and a hand on the bottle valve.

It ok. I was putting gas in the wife van the other day and the guy next to me at the pump was smoking a cigarette. We all have our moments.

I would imagine the sparks from a faulty electric element would blow one up just as high. Making one's own fuel is not without it's risks.

 

Wonder what your homeowners insurance would say about the fuel maker??

 

Thats funny...dang nabbit...Fab what are you using for a thermostat? I was going to direct wire but then I thought solid carbon wont really run through the pumps. Maybe pull the elements out and put in an open barrel? hmm just dont know yet. Youd be proud of my scale....1 bar, 1 plywood balanced. 2lbs weight on one side and equal chemicals on other. Im runnin hillbilly now.

Ok,Ok........MY secret.......use an oven thermostat

Watertank eliments are junk! Barely a high-temp cut-off switch! Oven thermostats on the other hand are made to hold the temp +,or - 2-3 deg. Much better! And you can "hang" the temp probe most anywhere.

Diesel is not nearly as likely to go BOOM as gasoline, in fact stand back and throw a lit match at diesel and it will likely put the match out.
So if the guy was pumping diesel he is only half crazy, if he was pumping gas he is certifiable
