Trailer Brakes- not working.

Trailer Brakes- not working.
I bought the truck used and the brake box has never worked.
Is this some sort of faulty wiring that the previous owner rigged up?
Or have these brake controllers been known to go out?

When you say it doesn't work, what are the syptoms?
When a trailer is attached and plugged-in, does the LED light glow?
It could be just the wire going to the fuse block or power source came un-attached.

need more info. What year truck? is this tow command? Aftermarket? etc.

His sig says F250, 2000 with Auto tranny....Doesn't say what brake controller. wbhinton, give with the details, help us help you.

take to a an rv dealer and ask them to test your trailer connection socket
