Did you ever get any feedback on the Corsa or did you buy it? I'm thinking about Corsa p/n 14361 for my King Ranch but don't see many comments here. I learned about the Corsa when I followed a link from this site to fordperformance.
I have a 2004 f150 Scab STX and im looking for a new exaust for my truck but i have no idea of what to get so i was hoping that someone on these forums has put a new exaust on there truck and could make some sugestions???(like, dislikes, very exstensive installtion or not) i dont have a limit for cost but an idea of how much it would cost would be greatly appreciated....
I have the exact same truck as you and this is the route i took....I cut the existing muffler off and had a local muffler shop weld on a Flowmaster 40 series muffler. From the new muffler, they bent me an exit pipe with a 18" chrome tip. All together, it cost me $140 ($70 for the muffler, $70 for labor and parts). As far as sound goes, it is nice and deep and throaty. A buddy of mine spend three times as much as I did on his Jeep Cherokee by purchasing a Gibson..Long story short, he wishes he got himself a 40 series.
Best thing I've done is look at the "other" forum. Based on a thread there, I did some homework. After the Cats, the Y-Pipe restricts from the factory down to an irregular shape opening ~1 1/2 in diameter (truly amazing), this joint really restricts flow, so what comes after that is superfluous. There is a shop here in the ATL (Grand Muffler) that goes in and cuts the Y-Pipe at the junction, welds in a custom true 3" opening Y-Adapter and then runs straight 3" stainless (factory is curved with joints/seams)back to the muffler of your choice. I opted to have them install a magnaflow; 3" in with dual 2 1/2" out. On the back side mandrell bent pipe that runs straight out the back on either side of the truck with welded 12" black-crhome tips. All the stainless (stainless magnaflow too) were painted black with black heat-specific paint. All factory-style hangers and existing holes were used to suspend the pipes. On my Black '05 FX4 this system is first-class and looks great! Sound is exactly what I was looking for, and the power is great. I believe most first-rate muffler shops could duplicate this approach.

I found a corsa sport\side out (dual tip) for 499.00, so I bought and had it installed. Initially, it was very quiet, but now it is opening up a bit. I would consider it tame sounding compared to some exhaust you hear, but that suits me fine. There is definately a V8 growl\rumble now, and very pronounced near WOT. I have heard some bassani clips, and they sound very nice, I would consider them louder than the Corsa based on the clips, but similar tone. There is NO drone whatsoever in my exhaust, based on this, I am very pleased. I also love the chrome and stainlesss, it looks like a very high quality system. Attached pic... good luck.
Just hung a Banks Monster SISO on my 2005 Scab with 5.5' bed. Couldn't be happier.
It is all stainless and has a polished-stainless 3" straight-through Monster muffler; a 3" constant-diameter intermediate pipe; a 3.5" constant-diameter tailpipe and a great polished-stainless, 5" double-wall tailpipe tip with rolled edge.
It sounds great and fit perfectly.

Venture, one more note, be very careful to select the right P/N for your model\year on the F150. For example, in 2004, there is a different exhaust configuration for those manufactured early in the year versus later. I just cross-reference p/n against my make\model\bedsize on multiple reseller websites to ensure I had the right part number selected for my truck.
Roman,
Thanks for the feedback and putting up a picture, hard to see the exhaust tips because of the nice wheels you have on your truck. I think I'll keep reading posts awhile before committing the $$'s. I saw a new CORSA over on eBay for $399 but the seller wasn't too sure if it would fit my truck.
Hello everybody.....This is my first post(just joined)I Have gotten alot of good advice on this site!
I just purchased my 2006 f-150 lariat screw with the 5.4.I just installed a K&N aircharger.I like the old school throaty sound under the hood!
My question is has anyone installed a magnaflow 16615 on thier 5.4? Is it a pretty loud exhaust set up or is it a fairly mellow sound.I have it on order from 4 wheel parts as well.I am curious how much more power i will gain from the combination of the aircharger and catback system.Any input will be appreciated
Has anyone messed with the cats?
I took a look at them, and saw after the pre cats they had a sensor and after the main cats, there wasn't any(noticable)sensor.
So I was thinking if I could bang on the cats and blow the fibberglass out if anything (sensors/codes) would go off.
Other than that, I'm just wanting to get rid of that 3" muffler off!
Any thoughts would be great.
