Chads being the first
JC's being the second
and now this one being the third.
at the supernationals in 2003 there was a really gnarally graft on to a cab in the swap meet area...Thats what got Wyatts creative juices flowing....
John. (the canuk one LOL) take a look at how the rear of the roof rolls down. This graft was not done using the entire roof section as you di or as Chad and Chuck did.
Just so the record is straight a ranger package was avalible for 64 but it was not called a ranger. I even sat my **** in a pre production 1963 Ranger package... You will be able to see this truck in person at Slick Stock if you come....
Its nicely done. The only issue i would have with the truck is the advertisment that it is the rare big window option. Definate fraud misleading the buyer.
For the 57 to 60 units the wrap around window was an option. But on the 81 conventionals for 61 thru 66 nope.........
I am not personally interested in acquiring any new trucks, but here is another eBay posting , this is a real deal large window uni with a claimed NOS window in the bargain, and no takers yet. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT I didn't think anyone here was actually upset, and I certainly admire the results of building what you want, I think a '64-'66 style box made into a unibody would look cool, myself.
That would be the one to which Garbz is referring when he says:
"Just so the record is straight a ranger package was avalible for 64 but it was not called a ranger. I even sat my **** in a pre production 1963 Ranger package... You will be able to see this truck in person at Slick Stock if you come...."
The rear reflectors are from a 68-69. They were smaller beginning in 1970. The taillights are 67-72. The tailgate insert is 68-69 Ranger or 70 Sport Custom.
Someone a while back transplanted a Uni big window top on to a 64 Slick. I thought it was a great idea and recently one of the guys over on the slick site was selling a Uni top he had harvested in Texas. The tops are fairly easy to move if you take the A pillars and use the seam below the rear window. I thought you could also add about 3 inches to the length of the cab at the same time. This is on my list of things to do! I also like the older 61-64 upper grill valence sans TS lights on a 66 birds beak grill with TS in the headlights from Yogis in California. This is what is really great about these old trucks. We are only constrained by our imagination and that pesky budget! The e-bay truck is a real beauty. I'd guess at about 10-15K.
