04 expy shifting
I have an '04 Expy EB 4X4 . I bought it new. I have had trouble with the shifting since day one. Seems to studder some times when shifting into gear after starting. Have had it in the shop four times. The problem seems to be occasional, so I know it is hard to diagnose. Third time to the shop, it studdered with a tech in the truck. They replaced the forward drum. Seemed to help but did not quit. The fouth time, they flashed the pcm (not sure of the letters) and said it will have a different shift strategy. Still seems to do it occasionally. Most noticable when coming to a stop at a red light, light changes and I accelerate,
seems to hesitate then thump into gear. It also happens some when I shift to reverse, techs have told me that I shift too fast. They say computer needs time to react. I told them that a computer is supposed to be faster than me. Maybe I'm wrong.
Sorry for lenghthy post, but am aggravated, I'm running out of 36,000 mi. warrantyand still not satisfied.
