no spark

1986 f-150, 300 ci 1 bbl; stored truck last fall. fogged out engine, pulled battery etc etc. this spring, attempted to start it and no spark. engine turns over, getting fuel, distributor is turning but no spark at the plugs. changed the tfi module on the distributor and still no spark. looking for suggestions or trouble shooting sequence to get the old girl running. getting current to the coil, but not sure how to check if getting current to the distributor.

replaced coil yesterday; same results no spark. will attempt to trace down wires today looking for a break or bad ground. any other suggestions would be helpfull

Small furry creatures love to chew on wires and leave you scratching your head. Another thing it could be is the pick-up coil inside the distributor could be bad. Pull the distributor and have it tested at a parts store to see if it's ok.

no luck finding any wiring break or bad ground. going to pull distributor today and have it checked out. if this fail; maybe go to a junkyard and convert this tfi system to the old duraspark ii
