Plus the only reason the Beta guys had to return theirs was to recieve the latest updates. Thats what they told larry on the phone.

I just received my Beta unit back from
Edge today 7/25/06.

Still have to load it up to see how it works.

I am still expecting them this week. I sent an email to Edge but did not hear back before I left today. I will find out and post tomorow what the heck is going on. Maybe tomorow I will be able to tell you that they are all shipping! Lost pup, I assume you have the shipping version now like Edge told me?

 

I can say that "shipping version" has not been expressed to me at this point. I was told to continue testing the unit, that is all I know.

 

I too received my unit back yesterday and have got it set back up. Everything worked great, so hopefully the bugs are gone. As for this being the shipping version, none of the Beta testers have fill out any kind of feedback form yet that I know of. Also, with us just getting these, I'd think they'd want us to run them awhile before selling to make sure they good to go.

 

According to Edge our units are in a box on the dock. He went back to the dock and counted out 100 units to me over the phone and said they were shipping today and I would have them tomorow. Now....lets hope that this time its all true! I heard a similar thing last Thursday.......Remember the A2 release?

 

I did ask if the returned Beta units were "final" and no response was available.
But on a positive note we ( Beta Group ) are now able to use the lightning software to communicate with the Edge units. Opens up a few more areas that we had been unable to test prior.

As expressed we have not had to provide offical feedback yet but I have been sending regular emails to Edge with status updates.

The firmware could be final ?????? The units now have Version 6.

 

lets hope that Edge is telling the truth this time. Let us know tomorrow if your shippment arrived.
