'99 SD Brakes

Have 1100 miles on new set of disk pads, now all kinds of noise and what seems like a grabbing sensation, on 1 side. Could one of those V springs that fit on the back of the pads have broken and would it cause this, or do I have something else possibly. 184K on the truck and this is the only problem I have other than a speed sensor sometime back, thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

When you installed the brakes, did you grease/lube the caliper slide pins? That is what it sounds like to me.

When you put the wheel back on did you torque the lug nuts in the right pattern? If not, you might have warped the rotor. Also if you replace one rotor, you really need to replace both sides.
