double shocks on a 72 ford pickup
the other day i saw a 69 ford pickup with dual shocks on the front of it. i was wondering if anyone knew if this was a homemade job, which it didn't look like it was, or if this was a factory job, or an aftermarket kit. i would like to find one of these kits because the guys truck rode a whole lot smoother than that of my 72 ford.
thanks

FYI.. Gas-A-Justs tend to be stiff. Probably not an issue with a nose-heavy rig. KYB's GR-2 shocks are slightly softer and provide a nice, less jarring ride.
Visit Shockwarehouse.com...Many brands available including Monroe, Bilstein, KYB, etc... their prices are right on and tech support is outstanding.

Back in the day I had a brand new 1979 Bronco. It had 'em. Nice ride. Ya might go in the full size Bronco area and ask those guys a bit more about them.

Google for Class 8 offroad trucks for 2wd Twin-I-beam trucks. Here is a famous one:

My grandpa bought a dual shock kit for the front of his 72 way back when it was almost new. Made the front of the truck very stiff without the big cabover camper he had on it, but the tires wore very evenly with the dual shocks. He said the original tires cupped terribly before he put the dual shock kit on it.
My 67 F250 has 4 brand new Gabriel Ultra shocks on it, and I'm very pleased with them. Bought them on amazon.com for a great deal.
