Insurance Discount When You Turn 25...
Well, I know some of you are around the age of 25 and I was just curious about auto insurance discounts. I know when I turn 25 (October 4) the insurance is supposed to go down. I have No accidents or any claims. Does anyone know approximately how much it would go down? I have full coverage on my 2002 Focus and I am the only driver and married.
My insurance (just the auto portion) actually just went down from $122 per month to $109 per month because I have been accident free and my multiple line discount increased (also have home owners).
I am with State Farm and was curious. I know I could call them but just wanted to see others rates.

25 years old? I can't remember that far back!!
Actually, it's not only your age but how long you have been an insured driver in Ontario. I wouldn't expect a huge discount, typically all your discounts will not exceed 10-12% of your premium.
I have heard horror stories of people(middle aged adults) moving to Ontario from Europe (not sure about the US) with years of driving experience only to be told that they are not recognized as experienced drivers. They are quoted premiums as they were brand new drivers! Ouch.

I have heard that being married already gives you the decrease and turning 25 does nothing more after that. I was single when I turned 25 and I got a pretty decent drop, but can't remember the numbers.
BTW, insurance on my Focus is more than double the insurance on either of my trucks. (Hint Matt, dump the Focus and get a truck! )

Mine dropped when I turned 25. I was only a secondary driver at the time.
My previous vehicle I had for two years and in my second year of ownership my insurance dropped about $20 a month. It was nothing to do with my age but that the rates had dropped as I was told by my insurance company.
I have been told recently that when you turn 35 your rates will drop. I turned 35 last week and now I'm waiting to see if that's true. My policy renews in August.

2 years and I'm still waiting for my request for quote package from PC....
My sister got a good quote from them but you have to jump through 100's of flaming hoops to actually be a customer. She ended up going elsewhere....
2 cousins of mine were having lots of problems with PC customer support for their mortgages.
PC has good rates for banking and insurance, but their customer support is just brutal.
