I installed lighted tow mirrors on my 03 F250. I need to tap into the wires for the front turn signals so they don't come on with the brakes. I found turn signal leads from the fuse box, but they activate with the brakes. Can anybody help me out so I don't have to buy an electrical manual?
I also needed turn signal wires that were from the front as I wanted ones that were not activated with the brakes, just like in your case. I took feeds off the turn signal wires behind the front signals. There are two screws between the parking light and headlight that you remove, and then the parking light pulls straight out forward. You can access the turn signal wire there.
edit: found this info from an article from a user on TDS:

Remove your exterior and interior fuse panel covers. This is where it gets tough. I found the easiest way to get at the wires you need for the turn signals was to remove the fuse panel by removing the four bolts and pulling it out of the way. There is a wire loom up behind there that has a white piece of plastic attached to the loom you need with electrical tape. This plastic tab holds the loom in place. Cut the tape, open the loom up and you need to find 2 wires.
1. GREEN w/WHITE tracer
2. WHITE w/BLUE tracer

Hope that helps some...
