Need Some Help Please.

well i know this is off topic but i went to discount auto yesterday and it was like a sign from god.....
i walked up to the back and asked the guy about how my truck has been having problems and this other weird drunk bum was next to me and he overheard my convosation and decided to bump in and tell me what he thinks....
he said the reason it burnt was a relay onb the dome light switch and told the guy to get one out the back so i bought it and he said that problem is common on fords that the dome light relay thing burns out....
well i bought it and took it home to replace it and what do you know
popped the dash off with my dad he took the old one out and the old one was burnt and that guy was correct.....
he said the reason why i didnt get my fuel pump to work was becaise when it burnt the plastic it sent a short towards the fuel pump and theres some relay where it wont work till you reset the relay or soemthing under the dash so ..... its fixed hopefully
