Hi all,
I'm fairly new to the site. I'm from Fremantle, Western Australia. I have a 2002 7.3ltr F250. Only had it a month or 2 now. Bought it for our annual fishing trip to Steep Point, Sharks Bay, (western most point of Australia). Can't get there without a 4x4. Used to take a tray back landcruiser with a 350chev up there, and I lie to you not, the F250 is no comparison. Loaded up to capacity, about 2 foot above the roof. What a machine!!! Should have bought one years ago. Comfort, power and good fuel consumption.

I've been to Freemantle once or twice (bloody Yank on a big gray ship).
I thought I'd mention to you all that you have a "regular bloke" in the FTE Online Championship in round four - it looks like he's going to be favored by a lot of Yanks too!

Ozzy 65 f350
G'day revhead.
Just came across some of your old posts about the mods to your 66 F350.
I'm doing a similar bunch of mods to my 65 F350 and I'm dead keen to hear how your old girl is doing nowdays.
I'd be real pleased if you could email me your phone number so we can have a chat.
ron_ahl@hotmail.com . I've got too many questions for these pages.
I'm up in Caboolture Qld. although I was bought up in and around Adelaide. Still get down there once in awhile, and with long service leave due next year, we're keen to go on a road trip with our rig. We'll probably head over to Streaky Bay where the missus comes from. Who knows, we might catch up.
Cheers, Ron.

I'm jealous of the "ROO-BARS" you have on your rigs - they're ten times more solid than the brush guards used in America - but we have wild deer running out of the bushes and across our roads with no warning at all!
Works of art - every single one of them. Maybe a thread on "ROO-BARS" and how to make them would be helpful both for Down Under and South America....
Then also in Georgia they have domestic pigs (HOGS) that get up over 400 kilos, and can ruin anything that runs into them.
I wonder if an Aussie-Born industry can be based on building bumpers like that? One that might well take off world-wide.....
"ROO-BAR Incorporated"
- for all makes of vehicles.....
"When indestructible COUNTS"
I think a company like that could take off and fly.....
You could even throw in the statement: "PROVEN IN THE FIELD"
But the catch would be to sell that product worldwide based on the testing conditions that can only be done in Australia - with a subsidiary perhaps in Africa.
I know of nowhere else where front end vehicle protection is done so thoroughly and has your production and exploration methods....

Hello fellow Aussies,
Recently acquired 79 LWB 351 4WD truck and (sadly) unacquired my faithful 77 LWB 302 2WD that has followed me around the place since 1995.
The 77 has been rusting for years, which wasn't a problem in SA, but here in **** NSW it wasn't viable for someone like me with limited resources.
The 79 is great despite the usual niggles, will post some pics when I get the chance.

Yeah, just standard issue LWB single cab but with 4WD.
I've seen a few in 7th/8th/9th generation (1980 onwards) but rarely pre 1980. There seems to be a gazillion of them in the States, but not so many in Aus. The only one I ever saw (back in 1994!!!) was a 73-79 series and I got chatting to the bloke who told me it was a "Ranger" but I'm not sure F-series were ever sold here with the "Ranger" option, although again, plenty of them in the US.
