I keep my ***** polished, lubed, and covered, that way they're allways ready.

 

My ***** are titanium

 

ya'll got me laughin into tears here. i just oil my ***** when i use em and cover em when they arent being used

 

I tried covering my ***** with a cut open tennis ball on my '91, but I worked on a ranch back then (right after I got married) and I used my ***** almost every day. In fact, I used my ***** so much back then that I wore 2 out on my '91 pickup. I used them so often that it was just a pain covering and uncovering all the time and the cover got dirt in it from rolling around in my bed when I was using them. So I haven't covered my ***** since the early '90s. But these days I'm lucky if I get to use my ***** a couple of times a week. Fortunately both of my ***** are removable now, so they stay in my toolbox when I'm not using them. It's sure nice not having your ***** sticking out in the way when you don't need them.

 

Gawdomighty!!!!! Ya'll sure got funny ways of handling your *****. I don't worry about them much anymore, but they still get in the way sometimes, especially with heavy loads in the bed. Got a gooseneck in there, ya know. Gets stuff all greasy and such. I can't say that I cotton to the wax, though.

And, clux, you haven't covered your ***** since the early 90's? Must be nice...

I used to cover my ***** with tennis ***** until my dog decided to "chase the ball" one day and the poor pooch only made it a couple of miles before wearing out.

 

mine fits 2 in her mouth at one time so i have to be carefull where they are left. dang retreivers retrive any thing round or semi round. big or small. fuzzy or bald. black , blue ,yellow or red they don't care

 

I thought this was 3/4 tounge-in-cheek, just found out it was actually ball-in-cheek.

 

thats what happens when you leave them around with a 95 pound golden reteiver on the loose. called 2 in cheek.

 

I've got a 34 lb shelty/?/coyote mix but Thank God she only likes new green tennis *****.

Should I wax those too?
