Moving to Peoria, Emissions Question

I own a 77 half ton p/u. Has headers and dual exhaust, which I am not too worried about. I will be having cats put in. However, I have an edelbrock 50 state legal carb on it, and was wondering, with the seemingly stringent sniffer test, if my truck will pass. Any ideas? Also, it is originally a CA truck. It has all of the other emissions components in place. Truck is really nice, motor has less than 50k on it, so I don't want to get rid of it. Also, it will have to be tested because it is my daily driver, if I had another rig, I could put collector insurance on this one, but I put too many miles on per year so I can't get collector insurance. According to the new law that passed, if I had collector insurance it wouldn't have to be tested because its more than 15 years old.

Thanks!

in AZ if your vehical is 67 or newer you have to get emission tested. it doesn't matter if you have collector insurance or not. on my 78 i have the same carb as you with no cats and no emission stuff on it and it passes. i just put in smaller jets in the carb and when i'm done with the test i change them back. takes about 15-20 min. i have to go again in june. but last year when i went it BARELY registered on the scale. the guy could not believe it was so low. he said most of the new cars aren't even that low what did you do. i told him i'm not telling. LOL here are the results from my test last year.

Hydrocarbons-loaded standard is 350 ppm my truck was 37. at idle standard is 350 ppm i was 125. carbon monoxide- loaded standard is 3.00% i was 0.12% at idle standard is 4.00% i was 0.36% you should be lower than me if you put cats on the truck and change the jets. when you move into town and need any help let me know. be glad to help you out.

Thanks! One more question....
Would mine be held to any different standards since it was originally a California truck, with all kinds of extra emissions equipment?

Also, is it different for 3/4 and 1 tons vs. half tons?
