Ford Truck-less
Hey all you NE chapter folks...
I've had to make some hard choices about ways to cut expenses. One of the toughest was to either trade the F150 for something economical or sell the Harley. I couldn't bring myself to let go of the Harley, so I am now truckless. Guess I was more hooked on the motorcycle than the truck! I do hope to get another 70's pickup to play with, but it will be a while before I can do that.
Anyway, I'm not sure what you all would like to do as far as a chapter leader. It's probably not good to have a chapter leader who doesn't own a truck...
Sorry guys, I don't want to bail out on you, and you would have to take my computer away and lock me up to keep me from the FTE site. I would be happy to help out in any way possible as I don't want to see the NE chapter fade away.

I would say that it doesn't matter that you have the truck or not, but that you enjoy them and enjoy talking baout them. If you knew me better, you would be as amazed that I am a chapter leader for a Ford truck site as most of my friends are, but the fact of the matter is that I know a bit about them, having always had one around me since I was at least 10, and I do like the trucks, just not so much the gas motors... I am not brand loyal, so if bleeding Ford blue is a requirement, I fail. But I like my truck, and like to talk about them. But of course, I just like to talk cars and trucks no matter... I see no need to walk away just because you had to let go of it.

not that I am aware of... but yes, it is their decision in the end, I just wanted to reassure you that you aren't required to own one all the time. If you like them enough, you'll be back into one soon enough. I can't get by very long without a truck of some sort, go into withdrawals that the only cure for is to have a truck around... I also do too much work with them to let them go. I tried to be without one for a while, just didn't work out too well... If the budget allows, you may slideinto and older one or something, it's hard to go without one after having them around all the time.

So what? I agree with the other guys here. Just cause you don't own a Ford truck doesn't mean that you can't be our leader. You do what you gotta do. I learned that back when dad sold the 79 F-250 he'd had since it was new. I loved that truck and was still too young to appreciate it, but it cost too much to keep around. In my book, it doesn't matter what ya drive, but rather who's drivin it
