Hi All--
It seems a lot of us find a lot of good stuff at swap meets. I say us...but I mean "people other than me." I've never been to a swap meet, and I'm not even sure of when and where they are, or even how to find out. Since you all live in this "general" area, I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction.
It is getting late for swap meets, as most are earlier in the spring. There are also a few that happen in the fall. One place to check is to check the "events" section of a hemmings mag or their web site. Also, maybe members of the Kansas chapter would post any they hear about. There are several that happen at Woodlands in KC.
well...day late and a dollar short is my M.O. I'll see what I can find about Woodlands events and such. A couple of other guys suggested a few places, so I'm checking on those to.
There is a swap meet coming up at the wyndotte fairgrounds out by the speedway june3. never been to that one its pretty new, the next one out the woodlands is in august. but to get the best deals be there waiting to get in line real early.
Hey--thanks for the info. I just found out about that one yesterday, and plan on being there...perhaps with the truck, but I've got a few gremlins to get rid of first.
FTG-
I called the contact number for the Wyondotte fairground swapmeet to get info and verify stuff, and the guy said "wyondotte county fairgrounds" and it's put on through the Elk's lodge.
Did a little research and found out that there is a meet at the Platte County fair grounds in Platte city. It's their first annual, runs from 7-5, $2 admission.
Then the one at the Wyandotte fairgrounds is the 2nd annual, from 7-3, $2 admission per car...it's up near the race tracks.
