first oil changed

first oil changed

100 bucks gone,but the tech said he was checking it for codes and it showed it was getting to much fuel so he flashed it and it should get better fuel milage,was getting 18 and happy but i will have to wait and see now,has anyone heard of this or did they just cut down my power and not ask me?btw its an 06 sc,xlt with 6k miles

18 is real good mileage... but if it through a code then something is off!!! Too late now and they can not re-flash back to an older program... so you are stuck with it.

I bet you will either stay the same or better... and seems that the newer flashes are working well for many... so enjoy and let us know what you find out.

Change the oil yourself and consider synthetic oil and Motorcraft oil filter at Walmart and do it all for less than the dealer for dino oil.

With the filter on top, oil changes are very easy with this motor!!!
