Old Trucks in Classic old Films

How about "Goldfinger"? When they got to Ft. Knox to blow up the gate, there is a '59 or '60 F-100 there to help. Stepside. Also, when Bond gets in the jet to fly to see the president, another '59 or '60 is in the background at the base. Probably the same truck. There was also the Falcon Ranchero that carried the crushed Lincoln back to Goldfinger.

I saw part of a movie recently but didn't catch the name. It was about a young kid wanting to climb some sort of radio tower and his terminally ill neighbor helping him. There was a drunk that lived across the street from them that would shoot his gun off at night. The dad snuck into the house and took the gun when the neighbor was at the VFW. When he came home he was driving a '56 I think. He went in the house, came back out when he couldn't find his gun and did a bit of a burnout in the truck when he left. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? It was late at night so maybe I imagined it all.

48fordjeffie,
Here's a better example of a time warp. There were a couple episodes of "Hogan's Heros" that had a '48-50 Ford trucks. Now that's really interesting, a truck that hadn't been built yet for at least five or six years and in **** Germany. Maybe it was actually a secret German advanced war machine that Ford copied after the fall of Germany.

Here's another, Goldfinger. Who can forget the blonde babe painted in gold???? I digress...As Goldfinger's bad guys are about to get out of Fort Knox, the army comes to the rescue. In duece trucks, jeeps and a 1958 or 1959 green Ford pickup. It has dual headlights, and FORD in big letters on the gate, if any body can identify it.
That's a good one Bob, the continuity guy must have had the day off. I used to like Hogan's Heros. If you ever saw the movie about Bob Crane with Greg Kinnear, you really would wonder where his head was at.
Jeff
