Power Window / Power Lock (driver side)
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Have 1990 Bronco II, 4WD/ 2.9L.. SMALL engine...
Ironically, lock on driver side stopped working, while power window
motor grinds away, but window just drops!
I can place the window up by hand... by pulling window up. NO resistance.
There always was an issue with driver side power lock hanging up.
All other powerlocks work, along with passenger side power window.
Window switch was swapped out for passenger side, works.
Fuses, that i could identify , checked out.
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.

Number one trouble with window motors is plastic gears in them tear up. Such a common problem that there are widely available "gear kits" to replace them. One of out local junkyards I know keeps them in stock, surely parts stores like NAPA will have them too. Now that you know what to ask for you'll surely find some. The kit for one window motor usally runs less than $10. Replacing the gears involves taking a couple of screws out of the motor cover, fishing out the broken bits, and popping the new gears in. Getting the motor out of the door to do this is pretty annoying though.
Your lock problems sound like a dead lock motor, also very common. It will need replacing. Happily many Fords of similar years have same lock motors that can be fitted to your truck just by swapping the actuator rod. Used ones are very much the most economical option though new ones can be had.
