Carb Problems - Any Ideas?
First the essentials:
1978 F-150 4x4, 351-M, Motorcraft 2150 Carb, C6-Auto,Converted NP-203 from full time to part time, 3.50 open axles front & rear.
Problem:
Had a rebuilt CVA-Motorcraft 2150 put on recently by the "guru" of the area.
Get in when it's cold, 1 pump of the gas to the floor, cranks up runs smooth life is good. Without letting it warm up for at least 10 minutes, put it in gear, attempt to go, it bogs down like its about to die then will recover and move or die outright.
Next problem, once you do get it going and say driving it around for oh, say an about 30 minutes, you come to a stop and the idle is like way high, it's shifting into second to keep going and your standing on the brakes for all of your worth to get it to stop and stay stopped. And we all know how wonderful the brakes are for these vehicles right?...
So, what's up with that? Like the fast idle gets set when your out doing 50mph down the road and does not want to kick down...this is after it's hot!
Any ideas? Perhaps I need to find a new "Carb Guru?".
Thanks for any help!

Currently a$$ deep into installing a radio - dremel tool does wonders for cutting the metal out to make the new one fit. Great gift for Father's Day....perhaps you may want to hint at this for the wife?
