Wiring Harness Help Please! 92 F250 460
I'm afraid I may have been suckered! I purchased a 1992 F250 4x4 (460) and all seemed well until... I noticed that the main connection from the steering column to the trucks main wiring harness (by the fire wall above the brake pedal) was dis-connected. After further investigation two of the plugs were jumpered with a small piece of wire. When I removed the jumper the starter wouldn't turn. After trying to plug it in to the wiring harness (with no result) I tried to figure out what the previous owner had jumped. Several combinations later (even one that actually turned the starter when I pushed the brake pedal) I used many profanities and decided to turn to this forum for help. Its spring...we live in Colorado...and...I'm trying to get my family camping. If there are any suggestions on what sort of problem I may be looking at they would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!!!
