Well there is always differences of opinion depending of coarse. And of coarse I would like to say it was me but I can't. from what I have seen so far the baddest of the bad on FTE would have to be skipped link https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...100789&width=0
We just dynoed a stock bore 460 with flat top pistons, Victor heads, solid lifter cam, Dominator carb on E-85 at a tad over 500 horse and 500 torque at the rear wheels. Good numbers consdiering nothing real fancy for parts......
ya know monster i think your right on that one i was trying to find t but couldnt for the longest also ive heard of a guy spinning his up too 8k was wondering if anyone new who he was???
thought so whats your bottom end consist of and how well does it hold up im getin ready to turbo my f350 w/ 460 close to what frederic is doing but im not exactly sure of all the details yet and i dont want parts flying off on my as the bottom end is the foundation for the motor

Reason: didnt want people to think i was talkin about one of those little whimpy motors built by those other guys
current bottom end of the engine consists of a D9TE truck block bored .060 using a main stud girdle with ARP bolts, Crank is a 4.3" stroke cast unit from AMS racing, with eagle H beam rods and the arp 8740 rod bolts, pistons are JE custom domes. I run federal 3/4 groove main bearings, and cl-77 V series rod bearings and a blue printed stage 1 high flow dynamics oil pump. Frankly I am pretty much over the rated hp limit of the crank as I think it is rated at 700hp and I am around 900 so I basically don't expect it to last forever, most guys running these cranks at this power level see 180-200 passes before breaking them I will be at around 140 passes after this season so it will get detuned and put on the street after this year.
the new engine I am starting to collect parts for will be using a A460 FRPP block, most likely a bryant billet 4.5" crank, with Oliver Pro Billet rods and JE pistons with a 4.5" bore, looking for around 1100hp NA and shift around 8500-9000rpms.
The cast stroker cranks hold up really well with what we put them through and in a 600hp or less engine I would say they are pretty much bullet proof, if your going anymore hp or alot of boost the new forged cranks would be the way to go. The eagle or scat Hbeam rods will withstand some amazing power and abuse but definatly get the upgraded rod bolts.
