blow off valve??? HKS SSQV? could it be?

http://www.diesel-central.com/Video/...ve-Burnout.mpg

can someone explain to me what that sound is at the end of his burn out? it sounds like a hks super sequential bov that my little imports friends love. if its not the hks ssqv, then what is it???

also, is there any need for a blow off valve on our diesels?

It would be nice if they fed it to us at more than 56k.
I'm on Comcast cable and it stutters.
I'll come back after it downloads.

It's just the turbo blowing back through the intake. It suddenly is unloaded when he get's off the throttle. No blow off valve. (No throttle body on a diesel.)
Sounds cool don't it?

And I need to move this to General Diesel. (Not a 7.3 in the video.)

Put in some huge injectors, a big turbo, a dual HPOP to feed the huge injectors.
Those Cummins are still the power champs AFAIK and they can really get the turbo spooling.
One thing that you can do for grins: roll under the truck and find where the downpipe connects to the rest of the exhaust and disconnect it. Two bolts and it's free.
Go drive it with the open downpipe and you'll hear a nice barking sound coming from the exhaust every time you shift that 6 speed.

my Mack's do the same thing when you go from full go pedal to no go pedal.
