I have heard in several spots on this forum, that the V-10 engines will not be offered in 07. Has anyone else heard this from others. I was just in to see my dealer and discuss an 07 purchase but he indicated that the 07 order specs are not at the dealers yet. The V-10 is a vital engine with the upcoming controversy with ultra low sulfur and emission costs. A 5.4 is a good engine but it lacks the tow capacity that some of us need. Say it isn't so!!!!!! My 2006 V10 came in yesterday....ordered March 1st... according to everything I could find out, the 2007 is an extension of the 2006 with vin changes...V10 will be offered in MOST states, but Ca, NY, MA and a few more won't allow it due to emissions....
the 07 list 's are out they got them in mid march. bad part is you can't get it in new york and will have to buy in pa or nj to get it. it's on their lists but locked out in my nearby ny dealer . so i don't know what part of ny you are in but i hope for you close to nj. if your near sussex county nj email me and i'll give you a great dealer and sales mans name to help you out. and i would be more then happy to let you drive mine unloaded and with about a 3k boat behind it on a 19% grade up and down. i have a 25% but no trailers allowed.
My guess is that if big potential market states like Calif will not allowthe V-10 the motor will shortly be history. The 08 model year is going to be bad news for those of us who use these big trucks both Diesel amd gas for towing a heavy RV.
well I have the spec sheets right in front of me & the 2007 for Pennsylvania has the V10 for ordering.I'm ordering mine this week.If you would like any info, please feel free to ask,Al.
My 2003 has no EGR, BUT, is a LEV. I don't know what more is needed. Someone a while back posted their tail pipe read out and it was real clean. I think Ford is doing away with the V-10 for a one size fits all V-8.
