Life slows down, and then you move.

Hey everyone,

Sorry guys. I haven't been to active on the site lately. My schooling is finally done and I'll be getting my diploma for Avionics Technology with my 4.0 GPA. Not to brag but if a man can't be proud about his work, then that's a shame.
I found a job in Edmonton so I'll be moving all my stuff from Calgary. I got an Avionics job with the Allied Wings project in edmonton, converting military griffon helicopters back to civilian 412's specifications for flight training. I'm really excited to get to work and get some money in the bank so I can fix up the truck.
If anyone in edmonton want to get together some time for a cruise, let me know.

How many people have you guys been swindled into helping move just because you had a truck? I've helped at least a dozen people so far.

later,
Rob

Congratulations on your 4.0. That's no small feat, especially in that field.

You are going to miss the chinooks . . .

Thanks,

I will miss those chinooks. I grew up in Grande Prairie and winters in Calgary are the nicest that I've ever seen.

So when you heading up north, maybe go for a cruise down here before you head up?

Hi,

Actually i was down for calgary for the last time today. I grabbed all my stuff from my place and my brother and I loaded our trucks ( he just bought an 06 Silverado ) and took off for e-town. I've just got in the door from unpacking and I'm hittin the hay after a long day of moving. I'll be down in Calgary to visit and cruise with my bro, when I come down I'll give you a shout there mustang.

Rob.

No accounting for taste in your brother's choice in trucks, eh?

Best of luck up there in the frozen tundra.
Calgary Didn't have enough Chinooks for me, had to move back to the sunny south.

The nice thing about Edmonton is the fact that the weather doesn't change as often as Calgary.
In Emonton you can go golfing at say 9:00 am on a nice sunny day with a slight breeze and not worry about a torrential rain and high winds and the temp drop at the 7th hole.

In Calgary, you go golfing with 3 changes of clothing in the bag.

My Favourite days in Calgary to talk about were those when I experienced all 4 seasons within a 12 hour period.

In Edmonton, Summer is summer, Winter is winter and so on.

Where is a good cheap (15-20$/ Round ) golf course around edmonton? If one exists. We could set up a FTE golf tournament.
