Save your money and get an Ipod with a converter to play through your radio. I don't satelite radio is going to last. With any Ipod you can down load all the song you like and not have to wade through the other 80% you don't like.

I completely understand, I'm the 3rd Family Member to Uncle's Ranch Truck of 40 years. Father had her for 3 years & Swapped the "Olde Girl" to me for my '58 F-350 as she'd be easier for me to drive & I've always wanted Uncle's "Wee Beastie" from the 1st time I laid eyes on her.

It's a 1948 Ford F1 Panel Truck.
What is there not to like.

Myself, I have some REALLY nice vehicles to drive besides my truck. None of them put a smile on my face like my old truck does. I can't really put a finger on it, but I love being behind the wheel of it.

I don't see me EVER getting rid of it.

I think everything is being covered well in this thread. I am glad it was started. These trucks are just unique. No matter if they are a show truck or rough looking (like mine) they get attention anywhere you go. People stare, wave, and ask questions. Thats really cool nowdays with everyone lives being in such a rush.

This is off topic (sort of), but something I enjoy with mine. I am a greasy jeans and t-shirt kind of guy. Thats me 90% of the time. I would have fit in well in the 50s.

However, when I go to work I am required to wear dockers, a polo type shirt, and nice shoes. That really gets peoples attention to see me climb out of an old beat up truck carrying my laptop and books. Anyone see a contrast there?

Actually....I'm divorced (she left many years ago). Her loss. She does not get to drive my truck!

Talking this is great

this thread is great hearing what everyone likes about these old trucks. i agree with just about everybody here that i like them just cause they arn't your eveyday run of the mill car. when people see it wether there car people or not they take a second look which is great. plus just about anybody can work on them and if there 4wd the got enough ground clerance to go anywhere. well thats just a short list of why i like my 59 and im only 15 and havevt even drove my truck yet.
