84 f250, 351w, 2wd, c6 to zf
-i got the trans in fine, but when i went to bolt the new crossmember in, the rear of the trans would hit the bottom lip of the crossmember before the crossmember holes would line up with the frame.
-i got the correct crossmember, from a 87 f250, the one with a dogleg, facing to the rear of truck.
-i was thinking of just drilling some new holes in the frame but then the cross pieces(gussets, bolt to top of frame and to crossmember) wont fit anywhere.
-can someone go and measure the distance between the zf and the crossmember?
-please advise, i need like 1/4"-1/2" difference on each side
-next, how does the rubber shifter boot and the plastic square with a foam insert go together? am i missing something?
What's the offset in the dogleg? There's about a 3-3 1/2" difference between C6 and ZF rear mount locations, even thought the ZF is several inches shorter than the C6. I would almost think the 87 xmember would be too early, as the ZF was only an option behind the big block in 87, going to all engines in 88.
