99 F150 Burning Oil

My 99 F150 is burning oil (Blue smoke out of exhaust) when it gets above about 3000 rpm's. I tried some of that stop smoke stuff last oil change and it obviously didnt help. What are some options that I could do to fix the problem, or should I just take it to an auto shop?

It has 99,000 miles on it and its a 4.2 and 4wd.

Well, that is a bit unusual. I have seen very few accounts of similar issues ever mentioned here.
Based on what you dscribe, I'd guess piston rings.
Typical oil burning problem is valve guides or rings.
