Anodizing a carb...
For appearance,mainly. Once annodized, it would be resistant to oxidation. You could also die it almost any color you want- you could even try to match those Moroso air cleaners that are tinted different colors.

Anodizing a carb...
Most carbs. are already anodized from the factory, either clear or a light tint. It's not a hard anodize, you can cut it with the edge of a file. Check your carb. in an inconspicuous place. If it is, I believe you have to remove it first.
