Movie work
As some of you may have heard, they're making a movie about the 1991 Iowa high-school baseball champions -- Norway, IA. It was the last year Norway had it's own school-district.
Last night, a coworker gave me a message that someone stopped by, asking questions about my truck and taking pictures. I called the number today, and it's the traffic coordinator for the movie. He had a scene in mind that my truck was perfect for, if it runs, and if I was agreeable, he'd pitch it to the director and get back to me. It runs, and I'm not an idiot.
So, unless something happens like a script-rewrite or editing, my old, green, rust-bucket '79 4wd F150 is going to be in a movie.
Which brings me to the other things he's looking for:
A plain, white, no vinyl top, good-looking, drivable 87ish to no later than 91 Lumina (he said, but I think he meant Caprice) or Marquis. Something that would be appropriate dressed as a police-car.
A late70s-early80s stand-in for my truck. He wants my truck for driving, and another closely matched for interior shots and close-ups of the actual actor behind the wheel -- to save time, I think they want both shots at the same time. I've never seen another one that particular shade of green, and lawdknows, green dashpads and door-panels are impossible to find. I'm going to offer to modify my white one (it's going to be repainted blue anyway, eventually), but I thought I'd throw the info out to anyone who might be interested. Doesn't need to run (though I'm not sure how you'd get it to the site) or be 4wd.
E-mail me and I'll pass on his number.

I just remembered that i do have a 91 White Crown Vic. It was a part of a purchase plan for Clinton County Sherrif's Dept. THey had purchased 5 care, but the truck deliveried 6. It's not a Crown VIC PI, but it is set up to be one. All it needs is a good wash and better rimes. It does run rough. It has a cracked piston, but does run. It's a county mounty look at a like.
