Holley Vacuum Secondary Rebuild Ooops!

Murphy's Law.......Don't ever rebuild your carb on the back deck of your home; you will loose things like the small metal ball (looks like a BB) that sets inside the vacuum secondary housing.

The Holley carb is a dual line 750 with vacuum secondaries. I had an old spare carb that I thought I could use but the BB is too big. I think the BB was around .220 and I need one around .185 to .190. I'm thinking about using a BB from my son's pellet gun but I wanted to check here first to see if anyone new where I could buy the right size BB.

Any suggestions??????

Thanks in advance!!!

It didn't come with one in the rebuild kit? A lot of times they have ball assortments in the Holley brand kits. Maybe a magnet under the deck might find it??

I likely have about 5-6 of them in my Holley bins of leftovers. PM if you are stuck.

Spent 30 minutes with a metal detector under the deck and found every piece of metal except for the ball. I'm going to swing by the speed-shop tomorrow and see if they have one laying around. If I strike out, you'll get a PM!

This is funny, no not that you lost a ball, but most of us that mess around with holly vac secondaries actually take the ball out, and leave it out, vroom vroom.
You will not have any problem because the linkage returns the aft butterfly to close, but your mpg's may suffer when you see how much faster and more responsive it is, closest thing to a double pumper, try it you could always put the ball in later when you get one.

The carb goes on a ski boat (89 Mastercraft) and I've been running a 650 DP for the past 4 years so taking the ball out isn't a big deal. Thanks!!!
