AC Low Side Pressure TOO High...

When you test the vent temps, what should the fan speed be? Mine seems to work great on the first two speeds, but doesn't get as cold on the third or fourth setting. It will get down to 44-47* on the lower speeds and only 53-58* on the higher two speeds. Ambient temps between 85-95*
SA told me recently that Ford's specs for A/C performance was fan speed on lowest setting(don't know if this is true.)
My whole A/C system is basically new, new compressor/accumulator/orofice tube/various other hoses, o-rings, ect... Courtesy of Ford(warranty) I will occasionally see vent temps of 60* with Max A/C and fan on high.
I'm not sure if it's working properly or if something is still wrong. I know it's a big cabin, but it doesn't get nearly as cold inside as the wifey's Maxima.
Thanks for the help,
Jay

The more air the fan pushes across the coil, the amount of the heat exchanged increases, making the air warmer out of the vents. The slower the air moves, less heat exchanged, causing cooler temps.I would say your A/C is working normally. When you see the temps ocassionally at 60, the compressor could be cycled off at that time, you should see the temps drop back down.
