Identifiying a short bed from VIN

Does any one know what the code is for a CC DRW "SHORTBED"? I know the first 7 characters are always 1FTWW33, but what designates the shortbed?

Thanks.

Nothing in the VIN identifies the wheelbase. The wheelbase, unfortunately, can be found on the vehicle certification label in the driver's door jamb, but by that time you already know whether it's a longbed or shortbed by just looking at the truck.

It was worth a shot.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping to do a search for trucks based on the VIN's. Guess I'll have to look at the pictures. Thank goodness for DSL.

Yes, on the crew cabs.

I think you can only get them in the CC configuration. Personally, I think a regular or super cab shortbed dually 4x4 would be one of the coolest looking trucks on the road.

I originally wanted a regular cab/short bed SRW super duty but eventually found out they only exist in South America

If you are looking online at new trucks via ford.com, look at the exterior options tab.
If it says 29 gallon gas tank, it's usually a short bed. The long beds usually have the 38 gallon tank.
