The riding test is just that, a test. Be able to use that front brake as hard as you can and be able to navigate the cones. Practice, practice and practice some more. The motorcycle test is usually not as easy as the four wheelers is. Congrats to you for trying to get your license. I meet a lot of people who ride and don't have license.

The riding test is a joke. There is no reason anyone should have a problem with it.

Find where one of these classes are being offered and take it even if you are already set-up.

You should listen to that guy ^ He is awesome.

You might want to practice for the test. Some locations are easier than others. The tough parts of the test are on a down-hill slant in Mt. Healty and on an uphill slant in Sharonville. You could also draw the d*ck card as far as instructors.

The couse is a bypass to the test and you will be a much safer rider after going through it. .......and its only $25.

I disagree. I saw many old-timers fail because they could not handle their machine. That is one pretty good reason that someone will fail.

I would also like to point out that you don't need an endorsement to buy a bike. The motorcycle mortality rate has spiked in Ohio and it is attibuted to the old guys that can finally afford one and have no clue how to ride safely.

I cannot stress the value of the $25 for the class.

While old people should not be driving a car or riding I don't believe thats why the death rate has risen. I know far too many 18-28 people who don't have their endorsement and have never had any real training on a motorcycle and like to do stupid things at high speeds. No only that but all the idiot Ohio drivers that don't pay any attention while driving. I almost got hit twice the other day just riding 15min to work through town and I was riding responsibly.

The only thing that the driving test proves is that you can balance the bike during slow speed manuevers. Anybody that has good balance will pass, get their licensce and then crash at their first "at speed" corner.

Perhaps our classes were different. I found that the experience and the course to be a good preperation and I had already been riding three years. The classes around Cincinnati have all been highly recommended.

I was referring to taking the state test not the riders safety course. I've heard only good things about the safety courses.

Yes very true. Perhaps I missed that part. I agree that the state test is a bit of a joke.
