Turning AC on kills engine - 2001 Explorer Sport
Hi all...
Looking for some suggestions... I've already replaced the IAC valve (Thanks to all on that thread who gave suggestions).
Here's the scenario:
When the X is warmed up to normal operating temperature and I turn the AC on, the idle drops way down as the the AC clicks on. I can then hear the engine surge (RPM comes up) then the AC will click on again and RPM will drop. It keeps repeating this cycle every few seconds or so.
If I put the X in drive, it will die.
If the X is cold, it idles fine and has no problems whether the AC is on or not.
Help!
