1969 f-250 390 to 460 swap tranny questions
Hello everyone, I have a 1969 f-250 that I am swapping a 460 into. MY truck has the two piece driveshaft with a square four bolt plate that mounted to the c-6 behind the 390. Can I pull this plate and mount it on another c-6 or c-4 tranny or do I need a new driveshaft. Thanks for the info

Are you refering to the yolk at the end of the trans where the drive shaft bolts up? In order to use this on another C6, you will need to pull the complete tail shaft assembly (which requires pulling the internals) and swap it over, unless you find another C6 from a truck.
