AOD with Edelbrock carb? with a stock column shift?

has anybody run an AOD with an Edelbrock carb? Everything that i see says that the kickdown on the AOD will not work with an Edelbrock carb. I know the lock up is internal so that does not pose a prob . . .

Other question: has anybody run an AOD with a stock column shift? I would imagine that the D 2 1 positions should work for the OD D 1 positions on the AOD. is this true?

Does the AOD have a rod for kick down or a cable? They used two types. If it is a rod type I would think some thing could be made. Also there is a company called Lokar, they make cables and stuff for swaps, a bit pricy but if you have to pay to play.
