WW Thread pitch, what is it?

Guys I need some help, I’m installing my WW today and I remembered some posts about how difficult it was to thread the WW on to the shaft. I know some have run a tap through the WW to re-cut the threads. I’ve inspected the threads on my WW and they look rough, my question is does anyone remember what tap thread size they used to chase the threads?? Even if you could get me half way home as far as Metric or SAE, that would be a huge help. Thanks in advance…. Jeff in NM…OUT

It appears to be SAE to me. I tried every one of my metric taps on my old stocker threads and none of them fit just right. Beyond that I'm no help.

i'm going to reassemble my turbo tomorrow and take it home. i put the compressor wheel on the shaft when it was out, and the thread were somewhat hard to be spun on the shaft. ill be running a tap thru it and i'll post back tomorrow at the latest.

If you have access to it get a thread gauge and try that. You can get them at most tool supply stores that deal with machining equipment and taps and dies.
