SVT aint out of the game yet. jay o'connell(SVT chief tech engineer) himself said that SVT is still alive and kicking when they had a media event in berkley(cali) 2 days ago(april 8th). AND... ...he also said that they would be working on a new lightning as soon as the GT500 is out the door. the guy said he has a video of the event so i guess he isnt spreading rumors. one things for sure though, the rumor of SVT being dead sure spread like wild fire. CHEERS!!!

Seemed like a cop out to me. they quit when they weren't top dog anymore. The new bodystyle f150 would have had it's butt handed to it by the srt10 if ford didn't drop in a more powerful motor. Instead of using a 5.4 DOHC supercharged, they just quit. I was dissapointed that Ford didn't respond. This is just my opinion, so please take it any way you want.

I saw somewhere that mark fields announced today that SVT will bring out a car and a truck..as shown here,
The plan is to offer one performance car and one truck, going forward," Fields explained, with the pair likely to generate from 5,000 to 10,000 annual sales. A version of the Mustang and another SVT makeover of the F-Series pickup will be the latest offerings. Then there'll be "personalized performance," allowing customers to buy from a broad catalogue of performance parts and accessories. The third leg of Ford's performance strategy is the Ford Racing unit.
